Broome County STOP-DWI accepting applications for the 2011 Chris Thater Memorial Music Festival
(Binghamton, NY) The Broome County STOP-DWI Program is accepting applications from area bands to play at this year’s Music Festival during the Chris Thater Memorial August 27-28 at Recreation Park in Binghamton, New York.
The inaugural Chris Thater Memorial Music Festival was held at the Chris Thater Memorial in 2009 and featured 12 different bands. In 2010, the festival grew to 18 bands. The music festival features a variety of music that includes folk, blue grass, R & B, country, Celtic, Caribbean, blues and pop.
This year’s Chris Thater Memorial Music Festival is tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28.
